Horticulture I  # 009544 (three  full credits) A basic course which develops knowledge and skills in the area of: using soil and other growing media; identifying horticulture plants, propagating horticulture plants; basics of growing plants in a greenhouse. Principles and elements of floral design, with practice in creating basic floral designs and using proper techniques, including identification, care, and handling of fresh and silk flowers.

 Horticulture 2  # 009276 (three full credits) This course is an intermediate course which expands on the previous year’s course. In depth study on plant disease, control, weeds, and various insects.
