Drafting
Drafting and Design Technology 1
#009134 (two full credits) –or- #009543 (three full credits)
An introductory course in technical
drawings using Autocad as the main drawing system. This course will
cover basic drawing skills with emphasis on engineering and
architecture. Students enrolling in the three hour course will work on
project-based pre-engineering and pre-architecture course work. Open
to sophomore, junior, and senior level students.
Drafting
and Design Technology 2
#009337 (two full credits)-or- #009269 (three full credits)
An intermediate course in technical
drawings in which students will be introduced to various drafting
disciplines as architectural, civil, structural, and piping. Completing
Drafting 1 and 2 will allow the student to test for an Industry Based
Certification (IBC) to be a certified drafter through the American
Design Drafting Association. Students enrolling in the three hour course
will work on project-based pre-engineering and pre-architecture course
work. Prerequisite: Drafting 1. Open to sophomore, junior, and
senior level students.
Drafting and Design Technology 3
#009349 (two full credits)-or- #006480 (three full credits)
This is an advanced course in technical
drawings which will use a more comprehensive approach to Autocad and
drafting disciplines. Students will be eligible to test for Industry
Based Certification (IBC) through the American Design Drafting
Association. Students enrolling on the three hour course will work on
project-based pre-engineering and pre-architecture course work.
Prerequisites: Drafting 1 –AND- Drafting 2. Open to senior level
students.
